ORCHESTOOLS | SECTIONS completed

Happy to announce the release of the last of four instruments of the ORCHESTOOLS | SECTIONS - Free Public Orchestra series. The instrument covering percussions ORCHESTOOLS | PERC is released (go to SECTIONS page for download links). Spent mora than a year in developing and working on this project. Next few months i will work mainly in making tutorial/instructional videos and few demonstrational ones as well. In general i am happy with the result and already instruments have been downloaded (over 2000 downloads total) and reactions, suggestions and ideas are coming in. Already there are talks/plans for ORCHESTOOL | SECTIONS 1.5 version - wich will instroduce more samples, more articulations, more presets and improved funcionalities of the engine. So, ORCHESTOOLS | STRINGS, ORCHESTOOLS | BRASS, ORCHESTOOLS | WINDS and ORCHESTOOLS | PERC are now available for you to download and play with. Hope you like them and find them useful in your work and projects. Would be great, and i would appreciate it very much, if you send results of your work, link of audios and videos. Also, I would appreciate very much your opinions, ideas, criticism about this project.

I'm using Windows 10, when I open the library page the font is defaulting to a symbol font and unreadable. This happens on all the "Sections" vsti. All the other plugins on the site work fine. Is there a way to change the default font in the library page?

Hello,

Thank you for your message and for using ORCHESTOOLS instruments.

The preset browser uses windows system fonts - seems like you're missing one or more of them. You can try and reinstall default windows 10 fonts and see if this fixes the issue. Future updates of orchestool instruments will have embedded fonts also for library browser to avoid issues of this sort!

Hi,

I have the same trouble as "nobodyofvalue" - in trying to resolve the FONT problem.

I have reload windows 10 faults - reinstalled the VST - but nothing seems to work.

It is all a bit frustrating - since what I can hear is excellent.

One clue that indicates that it is a FONT problem - is that I have the same problem with KEYZONE-Classic.

If you could identify the particular font used in the VST - it might be helpful.

Hi Daniel. Even though i've been planning to compile and release Linux versions of Orchestools instruments in paralel with windows versions i'm affraid I won't be able to work on them until early 2022. However, the source files of the instruments are available on github and can be downloaded and compiled with HISE platform (http://hise.audio) if you want to try that out or if you know someone who is handy in compiling source files - since you'll also have to compile the latest version of HISE platform aswell (the compiled version on their website won't work unfortunately). I will post any news in regards to linux versions here in forum so check back when you can. Thank you & take care!
